Open the add-in
- Open Outlook.
- Select an email message or open a draft.
- Click Saga from the Outlook ribbon or apps menu.
- The Saga task panel opens inside Outlook.
Saga needs an email message or draft to provide context. If no message is selected, Outlook may show the add-in but Saga cannot start a useful conversation.
If Saga is not visible
If the Saga add-in does not appear in Outlook:- Open Apps or Get add-ins from Outlook.
- Search for Saga.
- If it appears, click Add.
- If it does not appear, contact your admin.
Signing in
When you open the add-in for the first time, enter your organization’s Saga instance. For example, if your Saga URL ishttps://your-firm.sagalegal.io, enter your-firm.
Then click Sign in with Microsoft and use the Microsoft work account invited to that Saga workspace. You only need to do this once.
Troubleshooting
The add-in doesn’t appear in Outlook
- Check with your admin — On company-managed devices, your IT department may need to allow third-party Office add-ins or deploy Saga centrally.
- Check your Outlook account — Make sure Outlook is signed in with the Microsoft work account you use with Saga.
- Check your Outlook version — Outdated Outlook builds can have issues loading add-ins. Update Outlook and try again.
