The iManage integration lets you import files from iManage Work into Saga. You connect your own iManage account, browse your libraries, and add the files you need without downloading and uploading them again. For example, you can pull the pleadings for a matter into the project’s knowledge base before you ask Saga to summarize them.

Where you can use it

When your admin has turned on iManage, the Upload from iManage option appears in these places:
  • Knowledge base: click Upload and select Upload from iManage
  • Knowledge base folder: open a folder’s menu and select Upload from iManage to add the files to that folder
  • Chat: click the attach button and select Upload from iManage

Connect your account

The first time you open the iManage picker, click Connect iManage and sign in with your iManage account. Saga keeps the connection for your account, so you do not need to sign in each time. To disconnect, click Log Out in the picker.

Browse and select files

After you connect, the picker shows your iManage Libraries. Choose a library to browse its matters and files, or use Search to find a document. Select one or more files, then click Add Documents. The button shows how many files you selected. Files that Saga cannot read show File type not supported and you cannot select them. You select files one by one. You cannot select a whole folder. Files are copied into Saga as a one-way import. Changes you make in Saga do not sync back to iManage, and updates in iManage do not appear in Saga. If you need a newer version, import it again. If some files cannot be downloaded, Saga adds the others and tells you how many failed. Select the failed files and try again.

Setup

Your admin sets up iManage in the admin panel under Integrations. The admin turns on the integration and enters these values from iManage Control Center: Click Copy Callback URL and register the URL on the iManage application. Click Test Connection to check that Saga can reach the Cloud host, then click Save Changes. If you don’t see the iManage option when you add files, ask your admin to turn it on.
