# Overview

The Saga Outlook add-in brings Saga into Microsoft Outlook. Instead of forwarding emails or digging through inboxes, you can save threads and attachments straight into your Saga projects, summarize long conversations, and draft replies without leaving your email client.

## What you can do

The add-in opens as a task panel inside Outlook. From there you have access to:

**Save thread to project.** Link an entire email conversation to a Saga project. The thread becomes part of the project's record alongside documents, notes, and other files, so anyone with access to the project can read it without forwarded emails. It's searchable and accessible directly from the project in Saga.

**Save attachment to a project.** Move files from an email into the project's [knowledge base](/guides/projects/knowledge-base). Saved attachments are available to any chat or grid review in that project and stay there long-term, so you don't need to re-attach them for every question.

**Summarize thread.** Generate a clear, structured summary of a long conversation. Saga covers the key points, organizes them chronologically, and rewrites them into a clean bulleted list, so you don't have to scroll through weeks of replies to see where things stand.

**Draft a reply.** Saga analyzes the thread you have open, including context, sender, and subject line, and generates a professional, concise response. You can steer it with specific instructions, such as "Draft a reply saying I approve." Choose **Insert reply** and the draft lands in your Outlook composer with the correct **To** and **Cc** recipients and subject line.

The email is never sent automatically. You always review, edit, and adjust the draft in Outlook before you hit send.

## Setting it up

Your admin deploys the add-in centrally; see the [admin setup](/guides/integrations/outlook-add-in/admin-setup). Once deployed, follow the [user setup](/guides/integrations/outlook-add-in/user-setup) to open it and sign in.
